Collaborating Faculty

Neurological surgery faculty have close clinical and research relationships with related faculty, departments, divisions, and laboratories at UCSF. Research collaborations include those with Neuroanesthesia laboratories, with laboratories of the Department of Neurology, including those investigating neurophysiology, epilepsy mechanisms, and brain ischemia, and with molecular biology laboratories in a number of UCSF departments. Among the UCSF departments and divisions with which collaborative relationships exist are general Pediatric Surgery, Neuropathology, Neuroradiology, Radiation Oncology, the Cancer Research Institute, the Laboratory of Radiobiology and Environmental Health, and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Off-campus relationships include those with UC Berkeley, Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories, Stanford University, Southern Research Institute, and the Northern California Cancer Center.
